The Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON) has congratulated its Chairman, Mallam Abubakar Jijiwa on the renewal of his tenure for another five years as the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON).

BON notes that Mallam Jijiwa merited his re-appointment because he has contributed immensely to the infrastructural development of Voice of Nigeria (VON) and revitalization of all facets of the medium.

The statement said that under Mallam Jijiwa, Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria has grown from strength to strength and is now more committed to the growth of the broadcasting industry as well as its member stations.

Under his leadership, BON has forged more collaborative ventures in the exploitation of jointly acquired global sports rights like the 2006 Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, 2010 South Africa World Cup.

Also BON recognition has grown more nationally and globally as a key player in the broadcasting sector.

BON prays that God will guide him during his second tenure as Director-General, Voice of Nigeria (VON) to continue with his good works.
